The Ouroboros and the Hexagram

The Ouroboros and Hexagram, shown above as a small copper medallion

The Ouroboros is the symbol of the snake or worm eating its own tail, shown here surrounding a hexagram.  The snake represents eternity and the Universe, and is also a symbol of the Kabbala, as is the six pointed star that it encompasses.  Just as stars die and are reborn from the death of other stars, so does the Universe constantly destroy and recreate itself, like a serpent eating its own tail.  This is one of the most ancient of symbols, yet scientists are discovering only recently how true a representation of the universe that it is.  -Nate

THE EYE IN THE PYRAMID

The Eye in the Pyramid talisman medallion, shown above in small copper

The Pyramid with the Eye is a well-known symbol of the Bavarian Illuminati (which really did exist...some say it still does) founded by Adam Weishaupt.  Later a symbol used in Freemasonry.  Sometimes the eye (as on the $1 bill) is at the top of the pyramid, though it is more commonly shown with the eye in the "Queen's Chamber" position (roughly 1/3 down).  This is the area where energy is most focused in pyramid power.  The image has always been used as a symbol of power and wealth.

THE EYE OF HORUS

The Eye of Horus talisman medallion, shown above in small brass

The Eye of Horus is an ancient Egyptian symbol of magic and protection, worn by priests and god's wives for centuries.  Horus was the shining new sun god who took Ra's place after fighting his brother Set - a parable comparable to the messiah or "son of god" son story, which is in many religions.  This representation is based upon an ancient stone carving of the Eye discovered in a tomb.  The eye in the opposite direction is called the Eye of Bast, both representing the eyes of Ra, the original sun god.

THE EYE OF BAST

The Eye of Bast, shown above in small copper
The Eye of Bast is the Left Eye of Ra.  While Bast's Eye is seldom seen or often combined or mistaken for the Eye of Horus, above, it is a powerful talisman for protection and healing for those, like the artist, that revere felines.

The Scarab

The Scarab, shown above as a small brass medallion

The Scarab represents the Egyptian Sun God, Ra, as Ra's scarab (or dung beetle) pushes the sun across the sky like smaller scarabs push a ball of dung.  The little sun beetle has been worn as a symbol of protection and good luck for thousands of years.  Images of scarabs such as this one adorn the walls of all the ancient Egyptian tombs discovered. - Nate

The Unicursal Hexagram

The Unicursal Hexagram, shown above as a small copper medallion

The Unicursal hexagram is a universally recognized symbol of Thelema. Or am I supposed to be telling you that? Maybe that's a closely guarded secret and only supposed to be known by those who have undergone the secret initiations.  Hmm...  Okay, forget I said that.  Makes a perfect accessory to wear at lodge meetings, out on the town, or wherever your True Will tells you. - Nate
